Dr. Neet Shah is a native of Phoenix, AZ completing undergraduate studies at Arizona State University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Global Health. Dr. Shah has been involved in a variety of research efforts at both the basic sciences and applied clinical sciences aiming at better understanding the physical basis of disease. The ability and time to understand clients and better approach their illness led Dr. Shah to pursue training in Psychiatry after completing his medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. Dr. Shah completed his psychiatric training at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Shah has trained in several clinical settings and has experience interacting and treating a variety of patient populations. This background and advanced training have allowed Dr. Shah to in pursue a treatment approach dedicated to a scientific-evidence base.
Dr. Shah uses his background in Western medicine and Eastern philosophy to provide treatments that incorporate all aspects of wellness to bring about positive outcomes. At times, this may require medications and/or individualized therapy drawing upon disciplines in cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, compassion-focused therapy, existential therapy, mindfulness, and positive psychology. Each Client is a unique situation and an opportunity to return balance in life.
